Bill Campbell

Steve, this piece is indeed reflective, yet also musically compelling. I love the guitar and synth interaction; a very unique counterpart is created. Even at seven minutes, it feels too short! Thanks for sharing this piece with us.

Steve Ball

Thanks Bill; for some reason, another older 'new year' related piece (that I improvised on New Year's Day a couple of years ago) has also been getting a number of hits lately: http://www.steveball.com/music/SteveBall-NewYear.mp3

This piano 'sketch' eventually became 'Not Coming Back' on the Roadshow CD after I discovered that the melodies and form of the guitar-based +She's Not Coming Back" fit nicely directly on top of this (unrelated) piano improv.

As far as I know, this piece is only referenced in one obscure diary entry from 2002, so I'm not sure why this is gettng so much attention right now?

Mosaic Patterns

you are giving me an idea...that is if i make my own sketch i would name my reflection as 8 hours of reflection and 9 years ahead of my life....is that ok?
