Also, yesterday, based upon recommendation from TravisH, saw U2 on SNL (via TiVo.) I Will Follow was incredible -- not sure exactly why, but it literally had me in tears.

Reminds me of the first time I saw U2 back in their first US tour (I believe). I think it was at The Ritz in NYC, with The Teardrop Explodes and Kajagoogoo (featuring Nick Beggs on Chapman Stick of later Iona and John Paul Jones fame).
Bono exhausted me that evening - his constant energy and movement were insane. They played I Will Follow twice (the second time as an encore with Buster Jones sitting in on bass) - after all they didn't have all that many other songs to fall back on yet! :)
